Barry J. Gammons is the owner of The Law Offices of Barry J. Gammons, in Nashville, Tennessee, concentrating his law practice primarily in the area of creditorGÇÖs rights, including both commercial and consumer collections and representation in bankruptcy. He has been a member of the Tennessee Bar since 1993. Mr. Gammons is a graduate of Belmont University where he earned his B.B.A. and the Nashville School of Law where he earned his J.D. He has led discussions and lectures on creditorGÇÖs rights topics sponsored by the Commercial Law League of America, the National Business Institute, the National Association of Credit Managers, the Tennessee Bar Association, the International Collection Group, The Tennessee General Sessions Court Judicial Conference and various, local trade groups. He is a member of the Tennessee CreditorGÇÖs Association and both the Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations. He is a past Chair of the Board of Directors of Lambscroft, a Nashville, Tennessee non-profit whose mission is to bring the poor, spiritually and/or financially destitute into a safe environment, providing immediate shelter, while entering earnestly into learning skills necessary for the restoration of their entire being.
Nationally, Mr. Gammons is a member of the National Creditor’s Bar Association (NCBA), the International Association of Commercial Collectors (IACC) and the Commercial Law League of America (CLLA). The CLLA is AmericaGÇÖs oldest creditorGÇÖs rights organization, founded in 1895. He is a past Chair of the Southern Region of the CLLA, a past Chair of the CLLA Young Members Section, past Recording Secretary, and was elected to serve as President of the CLLA from 2014 to 2015.
