ROY C. SGROI, Livonia, Michigan. Roy was born in Detroit, Michigan, February 28, 1952, and was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1977. He graduated from Michigan State University with a BS degree in 1974 and Detroit College of Law (J.D. degree) in 1977. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, the U.S. District Courts for Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and all State Courts in the State of Michigan.
Mr. Sgroi is the author of several bankruptcy, collection and construction lien materials and articles and is a frequent lecturer on the same topics for organizations such as Professional Education Systems and the Institute for Continuing Legal Education. As a member of the State Bar of Michigan he sits as a committee member on the Construction Lien Committee as part of his membership in the Real Property and Business Sections. He is also a member of the Commercial Law League of America and its Bankruptcy and Insolvency Section. His practice concentrates in the areas of Collection, Bankruptcy, Secured Transactions, Construction Litigation and Real Estate.
