Mr. Hamilton is Executive Vice President and General Manager of the American Lawyers Company located in Cleveland, Ohio. The American Lawyers Company publishes the American Lawyers Quarterly which is a directory and marketing service for approximately 1500 law firms throughout North America and the world who are interested in handling collection and bankruptcy matters. The company was founded in 1899. Mr. Hamilton is currently on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Commercial Collectors (IACC). He has served, on two different occasions, three-year terms on the Board of Governors of the Commercial Law League of America (CLLA). He is a charter member of the Debt Buyers Association (DBA), Commercial Collection Agencies of America (CCAA) as well as a charter member of the National Association of Subrogation Professionals (NASP). In addition to these organizations, he also attends and participates in conferences for other industry-related organizations including the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys (NARCA), American Collectors Association (ACA), and Ohio Creditors Rights Association. In addition, Tom and his wife, Nancy, participate in international conferences with the FCIB, FENCA, LIC, and Global Credit Solutions (GCS). Mr. Hamilton was President and Founder of Trust Me Tours. He was a shareholder and on the Advisory Board for E-Debt Exchange, Inc., a past director of the Morris Weisman Educational Foundation, the Fund for Public Education, a member of the, and is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA).
Thomas Hamilton gained his B.A. degree at Denison University in 1970 and his M.B.A. degree from Rollins College, the Crummer School of Business in 1972. He served as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force active duty and U.S. Air Force Reserves from 1972-1982.
